  The Winds has been one of my go-to restaurants for years. I love the menu and look forward to the seasonal menu changes. I've also discovered some fantastic wines via the wine list - the cocktails are great, too. First-rate pitch and bar! Love The Winds! Yellow Springs is a great little town with tons of personality and The Winds is a must try.

  They sat three people at a two person table, although there were multiple four person tables, just dirty.
  Service was slow.
  4/6 of the entrées were out.
  They ran out of wine glasses and served us red wine in a champagne glass.
  We never got bread (they were out of this also)
  By the time the one entrée we ordered was out, it was cold.
  We got Indian food a block over after we left.
  
  Should've walked out when it took an hour to get drinks...

  This place blew me away. I had the veggie curry, the black bean chili, and house salad for lunch. The veggie curry was so sweet and spicy (not salty though) it hit all the right notes on my tongue. It tasted hearty enough to trick me into thinking it was a meat dish, so don't be hesitant if you're a carnivore. The black bean soup also hit the spot. The house salad was as tasty as you'd expect your average salad. I forgot what the dressing we had was, but it was tasty. My only complaint is the salad came separated. I'd much prefer it was tossed and mixed together when it gets to me (with the dressing on the side of course). They of course hit all the other right notes. Waitresses were attentive and friendly. The inside was fancy but inviting. This place is a must for a meal if you happen to be in Yellow Springs.
